Before I take you on the incredible journey of how Garibsons became one of the Pakistan’s leading exporters of premium quality rice and a leader in the Particle Board Manufacturing industry, I must begin by thanking the Almighty Allah for all He has blessed us with. I pray not only for continued success, but for Him to bless us with discipline, work ethic, and the spirit of togetherness. The story of Garibsons (Pvt.) Ltd began with my late brother, Hamid, and I embarked on a business we named Pak Woollen Mills. During our endless workdays, we prayed for a secure future where not only do all our families live and work together but where our workforce blooms over generations. Almost 4 decades later, we have representation from each Garib family to build and sustain our collective business interests. I am a firm believer in making longterm investments into our people; after all, we will never be future-proof if we do not invest in the talent to take us there. Gather the smartest, most dedicated people, let the infectious positive energy surround us. Let us invest in the education and well being of all, particularly the young women, to ensure our business portfolio is as diverse as it is inclusive. Despite being semi-retired, I still take a keen interest in the business. I maintain a rigorous schedule peppered with discipline and structure, and I like to get things done. It is invigorating to step into our offices and factories and see the future through the eyes of the various generations. Ours is a humble and simple approach to business. We are an honest and future-minded group. I invite you to meet my brothers, children, and grandchildren as there is much work to be done, and we always need strong, sincere people taking strides with us.
